A Door Closes, A Window Opens

We've had several clients ask about the "outdoor art gallery" project we did for Kauai Village in 2008, so we thought we'd post a simple one-sheet with some basic info and images on it. See below.

Challenged with empty storefront windows in a pedestrian-heavy area of the popular Kapaa shopping center, we saw an opportunity to make a connection with the community and pay homage to the host culture.

In the end, what could have an uninspired quick fix became a public relations boost and a culturally relevant beautification project.

Much of the art is still on display today.
